Dave Watson returns as Chairman

Northallerton Town FC are delighted to welcome back Dave Watson who has been installed as the new Club Chairman, replacing Les Hood who will stay on the committee and continue his roll has head groundsman.

Dave has a wealth of Football Knowledge and a long association with  Northallerton Town having been connected to the Club since 1993. In more recent times Dave has been Football Secretary and General Manager of Darlington FC .

He left his position at Darlington at the end of last season due to not being able to commit the time needed at that level to efficiently carry out his duties.

Having watched Darlington at away fixtures during his time with them , Dave feels Northallerton should be looking to move up the leagues and promotion to Division 1 is vital, sighting the fact the facilities at Northallerton are as good and in some instances better than some teams in the Evo Stik league .

Dave takes charge following a meeting held last Sunday night and his first job is to look at getting more funding into the Club.

Dave told The Clubs Official Website , “I enjoyed my time with Darlington and worked with some great people who have become friends . I was involved with The Evo Stik Championship season . I have gained vital experience , unfortunately I was unable to continue in the position  as my time was limited .

I look forward to The Challenge back at ” The Town “ The club has plans for new floodlights and the committee and fans are all working toward that cause . I want to Support Manager Darren Trotter and assistant Richie Farrell in getting us back in the first division .

This week Town are away to Esh Winning tonight (Wednesday) and have a free Saturday, due to Heaton Stannington being in the FA Cup. Town are at home Tuesday night against Blyth, Kick Off 7.45pm.
